A rough diamond is a diamond rock which has not been cut or processed. Natural diamonds crystalize in

the cubic system. They are naturally formed rocks which are found through mining. Rough diamonds forms

under pressure conditions and high temperature that exists only about 100 miles beneath the earth’s

surface. Diamond’s carbon atoms are bonded in essentially the same way in all directions. They are in

different shapes including octahedrons, cubic and triangle. Diamond is the hardest natural substance.

Diamond are so hard that you can only scratch it with another diamond. Diamonds are commonly

transparent to glowing yellow, green, blue, pink, brown, white and colorless octahedrons (the familiar

diamond shape).

Diamond verities includes bailas (spherulites of spherical shape- and radial fibrous structure), carbonado

(crypto-crystalline and microcrystalline aggregates of irregular shape, dense or slaglike), and bort or

Bortz (fine-grained and coarse-grained polycrystalline formations of irregular shape).
